Healthibeing Consultations
|
Addressing all lifestyle factors is the foundation of the naturopathic medicine I practice. Your initial consultation involves a thorough case taking with medical diagnosis. On the spot screening may be used such as checking blood pressure, tongue analysis and blood testing for cholesterol, blood glucose levels, liver function and inflammatory markers. A Body Composition report may also be carried out to reveal how well you are ageing, your fat to muscle ratio and toxicity, hormonal, hydration and stress levels.
If required, offsite laboratory tests may be recommended to provide a more complete picture of the functionality of your body organs and systems. These tests help identify problems before chronic conditions and disease develop, which your local GP may not provide. Analysis and recommendations are discussed and an individualised treatment programme, incorporating herbal medicine, is designed to suit your needs and lifestyle. Herbs are supplied in tinctures, enteric coated tablets and capsules, teas and creams.

First Line Therapy (FLT) Screening
A thorough case taking involving specific questionnaires are followed by various physical measurements and a Bioelectrical impedence Analysis (BIA) reading. This space-age science, used by NASA to monitor the body composition of astronauts, can help determine your internal health at a cellular level to reveal a mulltitude of key health markers including your toxicity levels and how well you are ageing. BIA measures the weight of your fat and lean body mass (muscle), body cell mass, extracellular mass, total body water, intracellular and extracellular water. Its applications are particularly useful in treating Obesity, Acute and Chronic Disease, Lifestyle Assessment, Athletic Performance and Premature Ageing. Follow Up Consultation
Follow-up consultations are usually necessary to monitor your progress, review any test results and to make any appropriate changes to your treatment plan. The number of follow ups needed and the length of treatment varies with each individual and the condition being treated.
